Lidl 50th Anniversary Campaign

In a remarkable collaboration that highlighted our expertise and adaptability in the digital marketing arena, VanAlice had the privilege of contributing to Lidl’s 50th-anniversary campaign. This milestone project, designed to celebrate half a century of Lidl’s retail excellence, was brought to life with the help of German celebrities Barbara Schöneberger and Max Giermann, ensuring a blend of nostalgia and modern flair that perfectly encapsulated the brand’s journey.

The campaign’s execution was entrusted to Instant Waves, a production company known for its creative vision and quality output. However, they faced a significant challenge: finding an editor skilled enough to handle both commercial and social media edits, a niche that requires a unique blend of precision, creativity, and understanding of different platforms‘ dynamics. That’s where VanAlice stepped in, bringing our specialized expertise to the table.

Our role in this landmark campaign involved creating five YouTube videos, each commemorating a decade of Lidl’s rich history, alongside a dozen social media edits tailored for maximum engagement across platforms. Additionally, we were responsible for designing all the thumbnails for YouTube and social media, ensuring that every piece of content not only resonated with the audience but also captured their attention with visually compelling imagery.


This dual approach allowed us to ensure that the campaign’s message was not only widely disseminated but also tailored to engage audiences across multiple digital touchpoints effectively. The content we produced celebrated Lidl’s legacy, showcased the brand’s evolution, and connected with viewers on a personal level, leveraging the
star power of Barbara Schöneberger and Max Giermann to maximize impact.

This project exemplifies our ability to seamlessly integrate into larger production frameworks, providing crucial services that bridge the gap between traditional commercial content and the dynamic world of social media.
